In the week commencing Monday 1 July 2013, our issue in focus was ‘prisons and prisoners’, and on the Friday morning we dedicated our main rhythm of prayer and worship for the day to it. We first created and used this prayer activity then, and have now uploaded it to our new and topical resources page so that others can use it too.
We decided to use prisoners held for their faith as the focus of our prayers during this time, but you could use the activity to pray for any prisoners, whether in the UK or globally. And if you do pray for UK prisoners, you could combine the activity with the visuals we’ve produced for praying blessing on our prisons (find this on our prayer resources page).
