visual accompaniment to nmoshka

We have posted a new resource – an automatically timed PowerPoint presentation to provide a visual accompaniment to ‘Nmoshka’.

The Sanctuary: Bengali men on a fishing boat

Liz wrote this song following her visit to Bangladesh – inspired by a traditional greeting which means, ‘I greet the holy one I see in you’.

You can download the visuals, mp3, chord sheet, and more information about why it was written at www.thesanctuarycentre.org/whereworldandworshipmeet-songs

These new visuals were created for the opening act of worship at the Justice and worship workshop we ran with Christian Aid in February where Liz sung the song live.

It’s taken us a little while for this fiddly piece of work to reach the top of the to do pile, but we’ve now added automated timings to the PowerPoint file, so that if you play (or sing live) the song over the visuals, they match up with the lyrics.

We find this song and its visuals really helpful, because they help articulate the vital truth that each number in every statistic represents a unique individual – a child created in God’s image, and incredibly precious to him.

You might want to use the song and visuals as a stimulus to inspire prayer in a service or prayer meeting, or as part of a special focus on poverty.
