websites, worship and workshops

www.thesanctuarycentre.org is live – it’s been hard work, but a real labour of love, to reach this point.

It’s an exciting and scary day – we have pressed the publish button, following months of work on the Sanctuary’s website, and particularly on pulling together the worship resources section – where world and worship meet. (www.thesanctuarycentre.org/whereworldandworshipmeet and also linked directly from www.whereworldandworshipmeet.org)

Since September 2010 we have been gathering together, writing up, and recording the backlog of songs, prayers and ideas that have come out of our journey so far. We have taken photos; written so very many words; prayed; slogged and tweaked.

And now the time has come to launch – and to simply trust God with the rest.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed, encouraged, or helped us more practically – thanks for coming on the journey with us.

Our prayer for www.whereworldandworshipmeet.org is that God uses it to bless, inspire, and in some small way resource, people who, like us, are on a journey to the place where world and worship meet.

Now we’re established, we’ll be regularly adding new songs, prayers and thoughts as we continue to lift the poor, the broken and the nations to God in prayer – so keep checking in, or sign up to receive prayer updates and notifications of new content via our contact us form.

We’ll also be using the main site – www.thesanctuarycentre.org – and this blog, to keep people up to date with progress towards our vision to establish a physical home for The Sanctuary – a house of prayer and worship with a particular emphasis on poverty, justice and intercession.

Read more on what we’re working towards at www.thesanctuarycentre.org/vision and on the journey so far in our last blog entry – the story so far.

And meanwhile
Liz is leading two workshops on worship and justice for Christian Aid on 19 February (Waterloo) and 12 March (Tunbridge Wells) 2011. Find out more about the London workshop here.

One Response to “websites, worship and workshops”

  1. Peter says:

Love the new website, Liz and Jill. It’s a gift that you are offering the Church, bringing together worship and prayer resources with a passion to heal the world.

May many be drawn to God’s safe-house through your ministry of praise, peace and worship.

Be assured of my prayers and support.
